Jobs Down. Gas Up. Is the Economy Flashing a Warning?

The latest July jobs numbers are raising new questions about the strength of the U.S. economy.

At the same time, Americans are once again watching gas prices climb—adding another expense to household budgets already dealing with the cost of groceries, housing, utilities, insurance, and other necessities.

On The Blueprint Live, we asked a question that goes beyond any single economic report:

Is the economy beginning to flash warning signs?

Our panel examines the July employment numbers, rising gas prices, the cost of living, and the growing disconnect that can exist between economic statistics and what Americans actually experience at the kitchen table.

Because ultimately, most people don’t experience “the economy” as a chart.

They experience it when they apply for a job.

They experience it at the grocery store.

They experience it when the utility bill arrives.

And they definitely experience it every time they pull into a gas station.
